Incfile/Bizee and Incorporate.com are two reputable online LLC services. Each of these companies has its advantages over the other. To begin with, Incfile/Bizee offers free LLC services, while Incorporate.com charges at least $99. Furthermore, Incfile/Bizee provides a full year of registered agent service with any formation package, a feature that Incorporate.com doesn’t include at any price point.
However, in general, Incorporate.com is a decent Incfile/Bizee alternative because it has more longevity than any competitor. Do you need some more information before making the decision for your business? Read on to find out everything you need to know to make an informed choice between these two companies and their top competitors.
1) Affordable: Both of these LLC service providers can save you a considerable amount of money. As opposed to hiring an attorney to form your new company, Incorporate.com and Incfile/Bizee are hundreds of dollars cheaper.
2) Customer Support: Saving money is great, but you don’t want to go it alone, either. Incfile/Bizee and Incorporate.com have customer support networks that can make your life easier. If you have any questions or concerns throughout the formation process, they have the answers.
3) Experience: Experience is the name of the game in this industry, and both of these companies have plenty of it. They’ve both helped form thousands of businesses, and Incorporate.com has even been open since the 19th century. They’re both legitimate and trustworthy operations.
4) Additional Services: If you would like assistance beyond your LLC formation, Incorporate.com and Incfile/Bizee both offer dozens of other business solutions. They’re one-stop shops for anything from registered agent service to federal employer ID number (EIN) obtainment.
5) Educational: Do you want to learn more about business formations, startup tasks, industry-specific guidelines, and more? Both Incorporate.com and Incfile/Bizee have comprehensive learning centers on their websites where you can find plenty of relevant info, whether you’re a customer or not.
6) Efficiency: Are you in a hurry to get your LLC formed? That’s no problem for Incorporate.com or Incfile/Bizee, as these companies both have expedited services available for all 50 states. It costs extra, of course, but it can be worth it if time is of the essence.
Incfile/Bizee: Incfile/Bizee will help you form your business for free while also providing a year of registered agent service. Once the first year is over, the registered agent service will renew for $119 per year. In addition, their $199 Gold package and $299 Platinum package both include valuable features that make them options as well, even at their higher price points.
Incorporate.com: Their pricing starts at $99 (+ state fee) for a package that only includes the basics. Even though they have some valuable features, Incorporate.com’s two premium packages, priced at $634 and $734, are too expensive for what you get.
Incfile/Bizee: Incfile/Bizee’s experience level is high, as they’ve helped form more than 1 million businesses since they opened in 2004.
Incorporate.com: Incorporate.com opened in 1899, and they’ve served 750,000+ clients since then. Over the years, their name has changed several times ― from Corporation Service Company to The Company Corporation to Incorporate.com ― but the core business has stayed the same.
Incfile/Bizee: Incfile/Bizee offers phone and email support, which we tested. Incfile/Bizee’s phone support is typically responsive and helpful. However, its email support is much less responsive. Some of our emails have gone unanswered, and several of the responses we have received are just form emails that don’t directly address our questions.
Incorporate.com: They provide support by phone, email, or chat. We tried all three options and had similar experiences with all of them. Incorporate.com’s representatives responded in a relatively efficient manner and accurately answered our questions. We couldn’t find any info about their hours of operation, however.
Incfile/Bizee: With Incfile/Bizee, turnaround times vary based on each individual state’s formation speeds. This can be as quick as a few days in some states or could take several weeks in others. You can also add expedited processing to speed it up, although the price will vary by state.
Incorporate.com: When you reach the bottom of your order form, Incorporate.com gives you turnaround time estimates for both standard and expedited processing. Incorporate.com bases its turnaround times on each state’s processing speeds.
Incfile/Bizee: Incfile/Bizee doesn’t just have hundreds of customer reviews available online, they have 75,000+ of them. Furthermore, their feedback is mostly positive, with critical reviews in short supply.
Incorporate.com: Despite being in business since the 19th century and boasting nearly a million customers, there is little customer feedback available online for Incorporate.com. We found just a small handful of reviews on third-party review sites, and a large percentage of them were negative.
Incfile/Bizee: As you walk through the process of signing up for Incfile/Bizee, your steps are personalized based on the state you live in and the type of business you wish to establish. There are hyperlinks throughout the application to learn more about a specific question or entry on the form. There are a few upsells and third-party offers to navigate through, but if you opt into any of them, your total price is immediately updated on the screen.
Incorporate.com: The ordering process is pretty simple with Incorporate.com. After you select your state and entity, you’ll choose from Incorporate.com’s three LLC formation packages. Then, depending on which package you selected, you’ll see a screen with a few upsell attempts. From there, you just need to fill out your personal contact info and business details, then you can review your information and pay for the order.
Both Incorporate.com and Incfile/Bizee offer a variety of additional services that can help you start, build, and expand your business. They have many services in common, as you can order things like annual reports, business licensing research packages, registered agent service, Certificates of Good Standing, EIN acquisitions, and more from either one of them.
These companies also each have some exclusive services that aren’t offered by the other one. For example, only Incfile/Bizee offers business accounting services, while only Incorporate.com provides mail forwarding services.

We called both LLC services’ customer support numbers to get the answer to this question, and we were disappointed to hear that they don’t handle publication requirements. If you need help with NY publication requirements, check out our New York publication service for more information.
Incfile/Bizee has very few upsells, as they do a good job of not annoying their customers by constantly asking them to upgrade their service package or add unnecessary features. Incorporate.com gives you several opportunities to add its $235/year registered agent service to your order. In addition, Incorporate.com’s LLC service package selection screen looks like their annual report service and online compliance tool are included features. However, if you read the fine print, you’ll see that you can only access these features if you also purchase registered agent service.
Let’s just say that neither of these companies excels when it comes to refund policies. Incorporate.com has a rather vague policy that makes it difficult to tell if they ever provide refunds or not. Check out how they describe it in their own words: “If you cancel your order before we have submitted it to a federal, state, or local office, Incorporate.com will refund the total amount paid for such order less a service fee. If you cancel your order after we have already submitted it, we will use our discretion to determine what portion, if any, we will refund.”
Incfile/Bizee’s refund policy isn’t exactly an advantage either, as they only provide refunds if you request one before they send money to your state government, which they say is usually within 24 hours. Even then, they charge a $30 processing fee. After they send your payment to the state, there are no refunds for any reason.
This category is essentially a toss-up because both Incorporate.com and Incfile/Bizee base their turnaround times on the ability of each state to process LLC formations. One service or the other might be a couple of days faster in a few isolated states, but for the most part, they are equal when it comes to turnaround times.
You can, and many entrepreneurs do form their own LLCs every day. However, we appreciate the peace of mind we receive from using a reputable formation service. In addition, each state has its own rules and regulations for LLC formations, so there can often be more legwork than people might expect.
The biggest advantage Incorporate.com has is its experience. Incorporate.com has processed 750,000+ business formations, and they’ve also been open for more than a century. Meanwhile, Incfile/Bizee’s greatest advantage is its offer of a free (+ state fee) LLC formation service package that includes a year of registered agent service. By comparison, Incorporate.com charges at least $99.
Incorporate.com charges $235 per year for registered agent service and $150 per year for annual reports. As for Incfile/Bizee, they have an annual price point of $119 for registered agent service, and their annual report service is available for $99.
