In this Incfile/Bizee vs. Tailor Brands LLC service comparison, we’ll walk through their main commonalities and differences.
Incfile/Bizee and Tailor Brands are both good LLC formation services, and either one of them can form a compliant entity. However, Incfile/Bizee has a few advantages, starting with its strong customer feedback reputation. Incfile/Bizee has thousands of mostly positive customer reviews available online, whereas Tailor Brands has more of a mixed bag.
Another important difference is that Incfile/Bizee includes a full year of registered agent service with any LLC formation package, whereas Tailor Brands includes no additional features in its baseline Lite package. If you would like to learn more about these two service providers, read on to discover all the relevant details.
1) Affordable: Tailor Brands and Incfile/Bizee can save you hundreds of dollars over hiring a traditional business attorney to draft and file your Articles of Organization. Furthermore, given the relatively basic nature of the LLC as a business structure, you may not need a lawyer’s expertise in the first place.
2) Customer Support: Even though you’ll be saving a considerable amount of money, you still won’t be going it alone. With Incfile/Bizee and Tailor Brands, you have access to their helpful customer service reps who can answer your questions. No need to waste time trying to find the answers for yourself.

4) Additional Services: If you want other business services like ongoing compliance assistance or an operating agreement template, Tailor Brands and Incfile/Bizee can help you with much more than just your formation itself. There’s no need to shop around at multiple companies when you can get everything you need under one roof.
5) Educational: Looking for more info about business services before you buy? Still thinking about the do-it-yourself route? Incfile/Bizee: Incfile/Bizee will help you form your business for free while also providing a year of registered agent service. Once the first year is over, the registered agent service will renew for $119 per year. In addition, their $199 Gold package and $299 Platinum package both include valuable features that make them options as well, even at their higher price points.
Tailor Brands: Tailor Brands offers a $0 (+ state fee) LLC service package that only includes the basics of company formation. Its $199 Essential plan adds ongoing compliance assistance and an operating agreement template, while its $249 Elite package adds a website-building tool and some branding features.
Incfile/Bizee: Incfile/Bizee’s experience level is high, as they’ve helped form more than 1 million businesses since they opened in 2004.
Tailor Brands: Tailor Brands was launched by three entrepreneurs in 2015 and is headquartered in New York City. On its website, Tailor Brands says it has served more than 50 million customers, although it doesn’t note how many businesses it has formed.
Incfile/Bizee: Incfile/Bizee offers phone and email support, which we tested. Incfile/Bizee’s phone support is typically responsive and helpful. However, its email support is much less responsive. Some of our emails have gone unanswered, and several of the responses we have received are just form emails that don’t directly address our questions.
Tailor Brands: You can reach Tailor Brands by phone or email. You can also submit help requests using the contact form on its website. In our experience, their reps are helpful and courteous, and we haven’t waited too long to hear back from them. However, we couldn’t find any information about Tailor Brands’ hours of operation.
Incfile/Bizee: With Incfile/Bizee, turnaround times vary based on each individual state’s formation speeds. This can be as quick as a few days in some states or could take several weeks in others. You can also add expedited processing to speed it up, although the price will vary by state.
Tailor Brands: With Tailor Brands, turnaround times depend on two things. First, each state has its own timelines for processing LLC formation paperwork. Secondly, Tailor Brands takes around 14 business days to file documents for Basic customers, while purchasers of its premium packages get a two-business-day processing speed.
Incfile/Bizee: Incfile/Bizee doesn’t just have hundreds of customer reviews available online, they have 75,000+ of them. Furthermore, their feedback is mostly positive, with critical reviews in short supply.
Tailor Brands: While Tailor Brands receives decent customer feedback, with a 3.8 out of 5 average score out of nearly 4,000 reviews on Trustpilot, there are some undesirable trends in its reviews as well. For instance, while 66% of its reviews are perfect scores, 24% of Tailor Brands’ reviews are one-star clunkers.
Incfile/Bizee: As you walk through the process of signing up for Incfile/Bizee, your steps are personalized based on the state you live in and the type of business you wish to establish. There are hyperlinks throughout the application to learn more about a specific question or entry on the form. There are a few upsells and third-party offers to navigate through, but if you opt into any of them, your total price is immediately updated on the screen.
Tailor Brands: Tailor Brands makes the LLC formation process fairly simple. First, you’ll choose your entity type and your state. Then, you’ll walk through several screens where Tailor Brands invites you to purchase add-on services. You’ll then choose your package, provide some basic information about yourself and your business, and submit your order.
With either Tailor Brands or Incfile/Bizee, you have access to a selection of additional services that can help you grow and maintain your business. As you might expect, these companies offer many of the same services, as either can help you with ongoing compliance assistance, operating agreement templates, registered agent service, and more.
However, there are also some services that are only available from one company or the other. For instance, Incfile/Bizee provides its customers with business accounting services, which is a feature that Tailor Brands lacks. However, Tailor Brands has more options for business branding tools than Incfile/Bizee.
Tailor Brands and Incfile/Bizee have many similarities in the way they provide LLC service, but they also differ in a few key ways. Furthermore, depending on your specific needs and priorities, your preference may vary.

Frequently Asked Questions About Incfile/Bizee and Tailor Brands
The most widely recommended LLC formation package offered by Incfile/Bizee is their Silver plan, which is free if you pay your own state fee. With this option, you’ll receive a year of registered agent service in addition to your formation.
Incfile/Bizee doesn’t provide assistance with publication requirements. We called their customer support department to make sure, and they told us that state publication requirements “need to be taken care of with the state directly.” Tailor Brands doesn’t offer New York publication service, either. It’s unfortunate, especially when some competitors (like us at ZenBusiness) offer formation services along with state-specific compliance requirements like publication. Check out our New York publication service for more information.
In our opinion, both Tailor Brands and Incfile/Bizee do a good job of avoiding annoying upsells throughout the ordering process. Both of these companies do include some upsells as you work your way through the order form, but they’re usually tastefully presented.
Tailor Brands doesn’t have a customer-friendly refund policy. Tailor Brands says that it has different refund policies for varying situations, depending on what you bought and when. If you need a refund, you’ll need to email support@tailorbrands.com and hope they agree to issue it. For what it’s worth, they likely won’t grant a refund for LLC formation service.
Incfile/Bizee’s refund policy isn’t generous either. They only allow customers to request refunds before they’ve sent your payment to the state, which they say is often within 24 hours. Even if you squeeze your refund request into this tight window, there’s a $30 processing fee. Once they’ve submitted your money to your formation state, the refund window is closed.
Would you like to take a look at a few other options and see if Incfile/Bizee is as good as other options? Check out our comparisons of Incfile/Bizee to other top-rated LLC services:
Both companies have similar turnaround times because they’re both primarily based on each state’s formation speeds. In addition, Incfile/Bizee and Tailor Brands both offer faster internal processing for customers who purchase their premium packages rather than the free options.
You can. In fact, plenty of people do form their own LLCs without assistance every day. However, we simply like to caution our readers that because every state has its own requirements to form an LLC, it can be a hassle to familiarize yourself with the details of your state’s specific rules and regulations.
In addition, we appreciate the peace of mind we get from hiring a professional service because we trust their expertise. Services like ours at ZenBusiness can form your LLC for free as long as you cover the state fee.
In our opinion, Tailor Brands’ offering of several helpful branding tools is an advantage over many competitors. As for Incfile/Bizee, their biggest advantage is their inclusion of a full year of registered agent service with their free Silver package, a deal that few competitors can match.
Tailor Brands offers registered agent service and annual reports for $199 each per year. It’s worth noting that you can currently only purchase registered agent service from Tailor Brands if you add it to your LLC formation service. Incfile/Bizee has a better price for registered agent service, at $119 per year, and it has a $99 rate for annual reports.
